  • Structure and purpose of the Income Statement (Profit and Loss Statement)
  • Understanding key components: Revenue, COGS, Gross Profit, Operating Expenses
  • Calculating EBITDA, EBIT, and Net Income accurately
  • Distinguishing between cost, expense, and investment
  • Analyzing profitability ratios (Gross Margin, Operating Margin, Net Profit Margin)
  • Vertical and horizontal analysis for identifying performance trends

 

DAY 3

 The Balance Sheet and Financial Position

  • Structure and purpose of the Balance Sheet (Statement of Financial Position)
  • Detailed analysis of current assets (cash, AR, inventory) and non-current assets
  • Understanding current liabilities (AP, accruals) and long-term liabilities (debt)
  • Analyzing the Equity section (retained earnings, common stock)
  • Calculating liquidity and solvency ratios (Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Debt-to-Equity)
  • The relationship between the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement

 

DAY 4

Cash Flow Analysis and Business Finance Basics

Budgeting, Control, and Financial Review
